Fintech company Infibeam Avenues Ltd announced on Wednesday that it has teamed up with India's BHIM app to let users recharge their prepaid mobile phones directly through the platform.

This new feature adds to BHIM's existing service of post-paid mobile bill payments, making it more convenient for millions of users.

The partnership is powered by BillAvenue, Infibeam's utility payment platform, and also involves integrating BHIM as a payment option within Infibeam's CCAvenue Payment Gateway.

Vivek Patel, Chief Business Officer of BillAvenue, called the partnership a "Major Achievement," noting that it will increase transaction volumes and provide better service to BHIM users.

Rahul Handa, Chief Business Officer of BHIM, expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying it will make managing payments easier for users and strengthen BHIM's role in everyday financial activities.

BillAvenue, which holds a key license from the Reserve Bank of India, will use its technology to help more banks and fintech companies join the Bharat Bill Payments System (BBPS) platform, offering flexible solutions to meet different needs.
