In a remarkable first, BillAvenue.com, India's largest billing network today bagged the coveted Order-of-Merit Award at the SKOCH New Economy Award 2017. The glittering event was conducted as a part of the 50th SKOCH Summit at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi. BillAvenue was chosen as one of the top projects in the country amongst numerous others engaged in the development of new age payment technologies.

Instituted in the year 2003, the SKOCH Awards aim to recognize individuals and organizations that have spearheaded positive socio-economic changes and brought transformations in the society through new innovations and technologies. It is deemed as one of the highest independent civilian honours in India. This year, the 2-day event focused on the underlying theme of 'India 2030' and was graced by several esteemed dignitaries including Union and State Ministers, CEOs, industry influencers, economists, and academicians.

BillAvenue.com was awarded the accolade following rigorous and stringent evaluation by an independent jury as well as a voting process. It has been built over the Bharat BillPay (BBP) infrastructure and offers customers an 'anytime, anywhere' bill payment facility via multiple payment modes, with instant confirmation of payment. The platform also aggregates billers and agent institutions (local customer service points) onto a single interface to offer an end-to-end digital bill payment solution. Currently, BillAvenue covers payments for utility services such as gas, water, electricity, mobile postpaid, DTH and broadband.
